HEARN COMPETITION KARTING 6 HOUR TEAM ENDURANCE RACE RULES

This event is designed so that each team competes with equal equipment. Any modification or substitution to the tires or engine package without the permission of the race officials is grounds for disqualification from the event. The rev-limiter on the engine must be working. Any intentional disabling of the rev-limiter will result in disqualification and a $100 fine.

You will need to refuel every 20 to 25 minutes. During the event you will change oil two times. If you are not familiar with the Briggs World Formula Motor we explain the adding of oil and starting the motors at the driver meeting.

Additional assistance is available through out the event from TEAM ENDURANCE personnel.

Any damage done to the engine caused by a racing accident or by not adding all of the oil to the motor at the proper time will be charged to the team.

Classes:

Regular Team: 3 - 6 Drivers with their own kart – 360 lbs

Arriver and Drive Team HCK provide everything - 360 lbs

Iron Man Team – only 1 driver up to 3 crew members – 360 lbs

Junior Teams – only run 3 hour 2 -3 drivers 3 Crew members – 275 lbs

Calculation of class weight

The combined weight is the kart with motor plus the average team driver weight. The average team driver weight is the total weight of all team drivers, without driver gear, divided by the number of drivers on their team. This will be done before practice begins. The team will then be give a kart weight (class weight minus average driver weight) and this will be the weight your team must make after the event is up to each team to make sure that all their drivers have been weighed and that the average team weight is figured correctly. It is up to each team to supply any weight they need.
