At Hearn Competition Karting we provide a place for the person who wants to enjoy the thrill of real racing set in an environment where a driver can learn and improve with the encouragement of their teammates.

The Team Kart Endurance racing program is dedicated to providing drivers with the highest possible level of racing excitement. An emphasis is placed on maximizing equipment equality, safety and bringing out everyone's competitive spirit.

The Venue:

All six hour endurance races are held in the Southern California area. Multiple turn paved road courses of at least half mile in length are used with long straight-aways and tight corners which make for good racing and plenty of overtaking opportunities.

The Race:

A Le Mans type standing start is used to kick off this 6 hour test of endurance. Fuel stops, driver changes and even an oil change are part of the program. Be careful in traffic, don't make a mistake with fuel and charge to the finish. The top three teams go up on the podium for the Formula One style champagne victory celebration.

New Motor:

Team Endurance Racing uses the Briggs & Stratton World Formula Motor.

This is an overhead valve motor that produces 15 hp, has an on board electric starter and a 7100 rpm rev limiter.

After extensive testing from Briggs & Stratton it has shown to be much more reliable than the flat head motors previously in use.

Each team of 3 to 6 drivers is given a complete motor package which includes a motor with clutch, motor mount, rear sprocket & battery to use for the race. Pit stops for refueling and driver changes are part of the event.
